Data Privacy Statement

Data protection

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data will only be processed in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and within the framework of this privacy policy.

Generally, the use of our website is possible without providing personal data. If personal data is collected, this is done - insofar as this is technically possible for us - only on a voluntary basis or within the narrow limits of the legal requirements.

In principle, data transmission on the Internet (both via websites and communication by e-mail) cannot be completely protected from access by third parties, as the technology used often contains security gaps. We ask you to take this into consideration when communicating, especially when passing on sensitive data.

The data controller within the sense of Art. 4 no. 7 GDPR is:
COMPUTEC GmbH, Im Beundle 24, 71540 Murrhardt, Germany,
Telephone: +49 7192 9234-0, E-Mail: info@computec.info

You can reach our data protection officer at the following contact details:

I. Why is the data collected?
Through our website, data is collected to make the website available to the visitor of our online offering. In addition, data is processed to process user contact requests, to optimise our website, for example to measure the website's reach and to find out which pages are visited most frequently by users in order to tailor our service accordingly.

The legal basis for processing is (provided no additional information is given below) Art. 6 para. 1 item b) GDPR if we use the data to respond to your request.

The data collected for the provision of the online offering shall be collected pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 item f). Our legitimate interest therein lies in the function and optimisation of the website.

If explicit consent to data processing exists (Art. 6 para. 1 item a) GDPR), this shall constitute the legal basis for the processing.

Data will also only be transmitted on the basis of the aforementioned regulations, insofar as this is necessary either to perform the contract or to protect our legitimate interests (e.g. the use of web hosts in the operation of the website).

II. To whom is the data passed on?
We shall only pass on the collected data to third parties if you have expressly consented. Without express consent, the data will only be passed on to our contract data processors if this is necessary for the operation of our online offerings (for example, your IP address is transmitted to the hoster so that the website can be displayed on your computer).

III. What rights do data subjects have?
As a person affected by data processing, you shall have the right to information on the personal data stored or processed by us pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR. This shall also include the right to information about the origin and recipients of data, as well as the purpose of data processing.

If we have stored incorrect data, you shall have the right to rectify this data pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR. Furthermore, you shall have the right to deletion pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR and restriction of the processing of data pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR if the relevant conditions are met. Pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, you also have the right to data portability.

You can object to the data processing at any time without specifying reasons (Art. 21 GDPR).

You are welcome to contact us for this and other questions regarding personal data. Furthermore, you can address complaints to the responsible supervisory authority.

If you have given us consent to process the data, you shall have the right to revoke this consent at any time with future effect (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR).

You are not contractually or legally obliged to provide the data collected on the website. If you do not provide the processed data, for example by excluding cookies or blocking third parties, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the website.

IV. Transfer to third countries
If we transfer data to a country outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, this shall only take place on the basis of your consent or for the purpose of performing contractual or pre-contractual obligations, or if it is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests.

In doing so, we shall endeavour - subject to contractual or legal permission - to use the data only under the conditions stipulated in Art. 44 et seq. of the GDPR, i.e. if it is ensured that the level of data protection guaranteed by the GDPR is not undermined. In particular, this shall be implemented on the basis of recognised guarantees, such as the EU-US Privacy Shield.

V. Use of the website
When you visit our website, data will be collected on the server on which this page is stored which is required to transmit our website to your browser. Specifically, this is the IP address, which is generally used to identify your internet connection. The information collected will not be passed on to third parties. In addition to the aforementioned legal bases, data processing also takes place on the basis of Section 15 para. 1 TMG (German Telemedia Act).

VI. Data retention period
The data retained by us will be deleted by us pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR. In particular, the deletion shall take place as soon as the retention is no longer necessary for the purpose for which the data was originally collected.

An exception to this are cases in which legal retention periods exist. This shall be the case particularly if we have to keep a declaration of consent issued as evidence or if there are tax retention periods.

VII. Changes to the privacy policy
If technical adjustments make it necessary to change the privacy policy conditions, we will make these changes. We therefore ask you to regularly read up on the content of our privacy policy. Should your cooperation become necessary (e.g. a new consent), we will inform you of this.

VIII. Cookies
Cookies are small files that are stored on the user's computer. A variety of information can be stored within this file. In particular, they are used to distinguish the user from other users for the duration of the visit to a website. Some cookies are deleted when the browser is closed (“session cookies”), some remain for longer periods. This may be necessary, for example, to be logged in after a login for the next visit.

We also use cookies on our website.

If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer as a matter of principle, it is possible to prevent the storage of cookies altogether or for certain websites using a browser setting.

IX. Contact form
The data you provide when contacting us will be used to process your request pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 item b) GDPR. In order to use the contact form, we generally only require contact data from you at which we can reach you (e.g. e-mail address or telephone number). However, we would ask you to state your name so that we can contact you personally.

X. Google web services
We use the following web services, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"), to analyse, optimise and improve our online offerings.

Google is EU-US Privacy Shield certified and therefore guarantees a level of data protection in line with European data protection law.

The information collected is used by Google on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offerings, to compile statistics on activities on our website and to provide other services in conjunction with our online offerings to us. Pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the collected data.

Further information on the use of data by Google as well as setting and opposition options can be found on the Google website:

1. Google Analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about the use of the online offering by the website visitor and generally transmit it to a Google server in the USA and store it there. Google also collects the IP address of the user, amongst other things. Since we use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation, the address is usually truncated before transmission to the USA, so that it is no longer possible to clearly attribute it to a particular internet connection. Only in exceptional cases will the IP address be transmitted to a server in the USA and first truncated there.

If you would like to prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the online offering, you can download and install the browser plug-in for the most common browsers available under the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

The personal data collected by Google Analytics will be deleted or anonymised after 14 months.

2. Google Translate
In order to use our website in other languages, we use Google Translate. This can be used by selecting a language in the corresponding field. If you select a language, your IP address will be transmitted in addition to the URL of the page visited. For more information, please see the aforementioned Google privacy policies.

XI. Third-party services
Within our online offering, we also use services from third parties, to integrate multimedia content, for example. In particular, we embed videos from the YouTube platform.

YouTube is part of Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.
The privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/, the privacy settings can be found at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/.

For technical reasons, it is necessary for the IP address of the user to be transferred to the third party provider. As a rule, the embeddings will be identifiable by the outer frames, logos and symbols of the respective third-party providers. The embeddings are only included if they are necessary and take into consideration the interests of the website visitors. The legal basis for the embedding results from Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR.
The legitimate interest here is the necessity of processing and storing the data for providing the services of third party providers.

However, we shall endeavour to ensure that we only use content whose provider only uses the IP address for transmitting the content.

Under certain circumstances, third-party providers may also use web beacons or cookies to evaluate visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information collected in this manner may contain data on the use of our online offerings and may be linked to information from other sources.
